About Sein Ta Lone

Sein Ta Lone (စိန်တလုံး)

Originating from Myanmar (Burma), particularly the fertile mango-growing regions of Mandalay and Sagaing, it is prized for its exceptional sweetness, elegant appearance, and superior eating quality.

(1) Scientific Classification

Scientific name: Mangifera indica L.

Family: Anacardiaceae

Cultivar: Sein Ta Lone

Common names: Sein Ta Lone, Diamond Solitaire Mango, Diamond Mango

(2) Taste Profile

Sein Ta Lone mangoes are recognized globally as an indigenous premium cultivar of Myanmar and renowned for their luxuriously sweet, aromatic flavor and smooth, buttery texture. Unlike many mango varieties, they are nearly fiberless, making every bite soft and melt-in-the-mouth. Their flavor is rich and complex, with tropical floral notes and subtle hints sometimes described as guava-like undertone. Research has shown that Sein Ta Lone consistently receives some of the highest consumer acceptability scores among Myanmar mango cultivars due to its balanced sweetness and premium sensory quality.

(3) Unique Properties

What makes our Sein Ta Lone mangoes especially distinctive is the careful cultivation process:

Protected with carbon bags while growing

Each mango is individually covered with protective carbon bags, shielding the fruit from insects, sunburn, dust, and environmental stress. This natural protection helps produce:

  • A more beautiful, blemish-free appearance
  • More even ripening and consistent golden color
  • Reduced skin damage without excessive chemical intervention
  • Better preservation of natural aroma and flavor

Longer freshness after ripening

Thanks to the protective bagging method and careful harvesting, the mangoes remain fresh longer once ripe, allowing for an extended enjoyment period and improved shelf life.

Non-fibrous and easy to slice

Sein Ta Lone mangoes maintain their structure when cut and do not turn mushy easily, making them ideal for fresh eating, desserts, and premium fruit presentations.

 (4) Appearance

Sein Ta Lone mangoes are typically medium to large, with an elegant oval shape and smooth skin that ripens into a golden-yellow hue. Their vibrant color and polished appearance reflect the premium care taken during cultivation.

(5) Why Sein Ta Lone is Special

Often considered the signature mango of Myanmar, Sein Ta Lone represents the finest qualities of tropical fruit: sweetness, fragrance, beauty, and refinement. With traditional cultivation methods enhanced by modern fruit-protection practices such as carbon bagging, these mangoes deliver not only outstanding taste but also exceptional quality from orchard to table.
